This Privacy Policy describes how Dickson 5 LLC, doing business as WrestlerFinder (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use WrestlerFinder.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Account Registration. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Coach accounts also require your institutional affiliation, title, and division.

Athlete Profiles. Athletes (or parents acting on their behalf) may provide: name, date of birth, graduation year, high school, physical attributes (height, weight), athletic statistics (win-loss records, state placements, weight classes), academic information (GPA, test scores, class rank, honors and AP coursework), college preferences, photos, videos, endorsements, contact information (phone number, email, home address, parent/guardian contacts), and social media links.

Payment Information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers. Stripe handles payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.

Communications. If you contact us via email, we retain the content of your messages, your email address, and our responses.

Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you use the Site, including pages viewed, search queries performed, profiles viewed, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.

Cookies and Tracking. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences (such as dark/light mode), and analyze Site usage. Our email platform (Bento) may place tracking pixels in emails to measure open rates and click-through rates. Our analytics tracking identifies which pages you visit to help us improve the Site and personalize your experience.

Device and Browser Information. We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information through standard server logs.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about college programs from public data sources, including the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard. This data includes institutional statistics (enrollment, tuition, graduation rates) and is used to populate college program pages.

How We Share Your Information

Public Profile Information

Athlete profiles are designed to be publicly accessible to facilitate the recruiting process. The following information is visible to anyone, including search engines: name, profile photo, high school, state, graduation year, weight class, gender, career win-loss record, season records and placement badges, GPA (number and scale only), and awards.

Additional profile details (full academic records, physical attributes, endorsements) are visible only to verified college coaches.

Contact information, videos, full photo galleries, and college preferences are visible only to verified coaches viewing Pro-tier athlete profiles.

We share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the Site:

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

If Dickson 5 LLC is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change via email or a prominent notice on the Site.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will remove your profile from public display and delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or compliance purposes.

Uploaded media (photos and videos) stored on AWS will be deleted from our cloud storage within 30 days of account deletion.

Anonymized and aggregated data (such as search statistics and platform-wide metrics) may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

Children’s Privacy

WrestlerFinder is designed to serve high school athletes, many of whom are under 18 years of age. We take the privacy of minors seriously.

Users aged 13–17 may create accounts and profiles with the consent of a parent or guardian. By allowing a minor to use the Site, the parent or guardian agrees to these terms on the minor’s behalf and assumes responsibility for the minor’s use of the Site.

Users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at hello@wrestlerfinder.com. We will take steps to remove that information promptly.

What Coaches See. Parents should understand that athlete profiles are designed to be visible to college coaches for recruiting purposes. The tiered visibility system controls what information coaches can access based on the athlete’s subscription level. Full contact information (phone, email, home address, parent contact details) is only visible to verified coaches when the athlete has a Pro subscription.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction. You may access and update your profile information at any time through the profile editor on the Site.

Account Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us at hello@wrestlerfinder.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Email Opt-Out. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Transactional emails (password resets, payment confirmations) will continue as long as your account is active.

Marketing Content Opt-Out. You may request that your profile content not be used in WrestlerFinder marketing materials by contacting us at hello@wrestlerfinder.com. This does not affect your profile’s visibility to coaches on the Site.

Cookies. Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site, including your ability to stay logged in.

Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, as there is no industry standard for how to handle them.

State-Specific Rights. If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, or another state with consumer privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete your data, and the right to opt out of certain data sharing. Email Communications

We use Bento as our email platform and SendLayer to deliver transactional emails. When you register or subscribe, your email address and associated subscriber data (name, plan, state, graduation year) are synced to Bento for the purpose of sending you relevant communications.

We are committed to keeping your email address confidential. We do not sell, rent, or lease our email lists to third parties.

CAN-SPAM Compliance. All emails clearly identify the sender and include instructions for how to unsubscribe. We honor all unsubscribe requests promptly.

External Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including college and university websites, recruiting resources, and external services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of use of any third-party websites. You access these sites at your own risk.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
