How WrestlerFinder Works for Wrestlers
The short version
College coaches search for wrestlers. You build a profile. When a coach finds you, you know about it. That’s the whole thing.
Building your profile
Your profile is a recruiting document, not a social media page. Coaches are looking for specific information: your weight class, your record, your academics, your highlight video. The more complete your profile, the more useful it is to a coach evaluating whether to reach out.
Start with the basics: your name, school, graduation year, weight class, and a photo. Then add your season records, GPA, ACT or SAT score, and your college preferences. If you have a highlight video, add it. A coach who can watch you wrestle before reaching out is a coach who reaches out with purpose.
What coaches see
Every coach who creates an account can search your profile. They filter by weight class, graduation year, state, GPA, division interest, and more. When your profile matches what they’re looking for, you show up in their results.
Free profiles show your wrestling credentials, academic profile, and college preferences. Your contact information is hidden. Pro profiles show everything including your phone, email, and social media links.
The visibility score
Your visibility score is a 0-100 number that reflects how useful your profile is to a recruiting coach. A complete profile with a highlight video, current academic info, and recent activity scores higher. A higher score means you rank higher in search results when a coach is looking.
It is not a recruiting rank. It does not predict where you will wrestle in college. It is a signal to coaches that your profile is worth their time.
When a coach views your profile
You get notified. Every time a verified college coach views your profile, you see it. For Pro athletes, you see the division the coach is recruiting for. That notification is the moment the platform proves its value.
A coach who views your profile is a coach who was looking for someone like you. That is a real lead worth following up on.
Free vs Pro
Free profiles appear in coach searches. Your contact information is hidden. Coaches can see your wrestling record and your academics.
Pro unlocks your contact information for coaches, adds your highlight video, and moves you above free profiles in search results. If a coach is searching and your profile comes up, you want them to be able to reach you.
What a complete profile looks like
Photo uploaded. Season records for every year you have competed. GPA and test scores entered. Highlight video added. College preferences filled out including division, region, majors, and campus type. Your story written in your own words.
A coach at a D3 program in Ohio should be able to look at your profile for 60 seconds and know whether to reach out. Give them what they need to make that call.
