My wrestling career has never just been about winning — it’s been about proving to myself how far I’m willing to go. Over the past three years, I’ve built a career that I’m proud of: 3x state placer, 2x state finalist, and finally a state champion. Alongside that, I’ve earned Academic All-State honors three times, proving that discipline doesn’t stop when practice ends. through exhaustion physically, mentally, and academically. But this past season tested me more than any title ever could. During my junior year, I wrestled the entire season with a 100% torn labrum. Every practice, every scramble, every shot came with pain that most people never knew about. There were moments where my shoulder felt like it could give out at any second, but I refused to let injury define my season. I learned what toughness really meant — not just being able to compete, but being able to suffer in silence and still step onto the mat ready to fight. Even through the injury, I battled my way to a 3rd place finish at the state tournament. While it wasn’t the ending I had dreamed about, it became one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of. That medal meant more because of everything behind it — the rehab, the pain, the setbacks, and the decision every single day to keep going anyway.
